Vodafone Warriors 2013 Season

2012 wasn't a vintage year for Warriors fans. Having achieved just eight wins in the regular NRL season, the fall from grace from the previous seasons' lofty heights couldn't have been more dramatic. In the end, something had to give and Kiwi coach Brian 'bluey' Mcclennan was shown the door.

2013 promises to be an interesting year for the club and the Warriors faithful - new coaching staff, committed (and well-heeled) owners and a fresh-faced player roster - can Matthew Elliot strike a chord with his charges and keep the Mt Smart turnstiles churning.
Comings and Goings

Notable admissions amongst the players roster include Lewis Brown, James Maloney and Warriors legend, Michael Luck. Much will be expected of new Warriors players Thomas Leuluai (from the UK Super League), Todd Lowrie and Queensland Origin rep, Dane Neilsen. In the back office, Matthew Elliot takes the helm having last coached the Penrith Panthers in 2011.

Prediction

Widely regarded at the world's toughest sporting competition, in this rebuild year it's hard to see the Warriors breaking into the Top 8 at the business end of the season. Who know's with a little faith, we just may be proven wrong.
