Had a great time at the movies with the missus for date night, loved the bar at rialto, had a good pre-movie drink.

My favourite picture theatre in Auckland. Rialto Newmarket has a lovely boutique feel to it. Great selection of movies and a very comfortable bar/cafe area to relax before or after the movie. Rialto Newmarket also makes for a great meeting place.

As lovelry as the complex itself is the staff at Rialto don't seem to care all that much about the comfort of patrons. In the session I went to there was sound but no picture, when someone went to complain the problem was fixed, only to be followed by another image problem. Someone should have been keeping an eye on this after knowing there had already been issues.

Rialto Newmarket is a fantastic theatre complex. Always good titles and festivals and its location makes it quite easy to spend the day in newmarket, shopping, eating and now watching.
Ice creams (I think Kapiti) are fantastic - the cinemas are small and intimate - rialto newmarket is worth the visit.
