Piha and the Beach (not to mention the fabulous bush walks) is a fabulous place to visit. The surf is great to swim in (inside the flags or outgoing tide), the views great and the locals friendly. Try Piha Beach Accommodaton (close to Sth Piha Beach) - we stayed in the Tui Suite the middle priced of their three. Had a ball.
