In perhaps what will be the most eagerly awaited visit to our shores in recent years, NINE LIVE are proud to announce the first ever New Zealand tour from THE hottest band of the moment, One Direction, this April.

With such a legion of adoring fans in rapture at the prospect of being finally in the vicinity of their idols, One Direction's New Zealand tour will surely not arrive quickly enough.

The British-Irish vocal group, aged from 18 to 20, will play two headline shows in Auckland and Wellington this April. Tickets go on sale at 9am, Friday March 2nd.

“We can’t wait to come down under and meet everyone that has supported us,” said Zayn Malik on the news of their first visit to our shores.

“We can’t wait to come see everyone in New Zealand,” continues Harry Styles. “You guys have been amazing and have supported us since day one so thank you.”

One Direction will be releasing UP ALL NIGHT: THE SOUVENIR EDITION to coincide with their New Zealand visit. Set to be released in March THE SOUVENIR EDITION features 5 additional exclusive tracks, a 32 page fan booklet and 5 photocards with a special message for Directioners from each of the boys. Fans can pre-order their copy of the album now!

With the platinum single What Makes You Beautiful, their latest single One Thing currently burning up the charts, and their debut Top 2 platinum album UP ALL NIGHT, a One Direction “infection” will surely be taking over the nation with the news of the boys’ visit.

One Direction are Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik. All five boys auditioned for the UK’s X Factor in 2010 as solo artists. However, at the suggestion of guest judge Nicole Scherzinger, they joined forces as a group, quickly becoming one of the competition's most popular acts of all time, finishing in the final three and garnering a gigantic fan-base along the way.

After wowing crowds across the country on The X Factor Live Tour across the UK, the boys signed to Syco Music and immediately set about recording their debut album with some of the world's most sort-after producers.

Don’t miss One Direction on their first ever New Zealand tour – tickets will sell out!
