HISTORY
North Harbour Stadium is the newest professional-grade sports stadium in Auckland, having opened in 1997 after nearly a decade of design and construction. The stadium is used for rugby, soccer and open air concerts. The stadium has had technical upgrades in the lead up to the 2011 Rugby World Cup to better equip it for television broadcasts. The stadium will have a seating capacity of 30,000 for Rugby World Cup 2011.

    RUGBY WORLD CUP GAMES
    Eden Park Stadium will play host to the following games of the 2011 Rugby World Cup:
  • France v Japan (6pm September 10)
  • Australia v Italy (3.30pm September 11)
  • South Africa v Namibia (8pm September 22)
  • South Africa v Samoa (8.30pm September 30)

    PUBLIC TRANSPORT
    There will be extensive road closures around the North Harbour Stadium area on game day. Public transport will be your easiest way to get to the game.

    Bus: Spectators travelling from downtown Auckland can catch any Northern Express bus from Britomart. Buses depart every 10-15 minutes, from Albany Bus Station it is a short, direct walk to North Harbour Stadium
