Documentary Edge Festival is Australasia’s only international competitive documentary film festival. It is held in New Zealand and showcases the very best in documentary film from New Zealand and around the World. The 5th edition of Documentary Edge Festival will be held in Auckland from 27 February to 14 March 2010 at Rialto Cinemas Newmarket. The festival runs from late February and includes Awards Night, Q&A Sessions with filmmakers and special events. 16 days, 56 films, 25 countries. There are 8 categories in the programme: International Competition; NZ Competition; Best of Fest; World Cinema; Heroes and Icons; Culture Vulture; Spotlight: China; and Spotlight: Eco-Warriors.
