California Design - the first major examination of modern California design - demonstrates the impact of California's artists, craftspeople and designers on the products, furnishings and houses of mid-twentieth-century America.

The exhibition features more than 250 objects including furniture by Charles and Ray Eames, fashions from Levi Strauss & Co. and graphics by Saul Bass. A number of landmark industrial designs, ceramics, jewellery, metalwork, architectural drawings and photography will also be on show.

The touring exhibition was organised by Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

In addition to the exhibition, a programme of talks, film screenings and popular Open Late events will help visitors forget the winter blues and experience the California way of life.

Open Lates will take place from 6-9pm on Tuesday 23 July, Tuesday 20 August and Tuesday 10 September.
