Auckland's 4th July Celebrations
Auckland may not have a Fourth of July events with spectacular fireworks or even a public holiday, but for Americans living in New Zealand wanting to keep the tradition alive we’ve pulled together a few ideas to help celebrate the day.

What better way to celebrate Independence Day than with buffalo hot wings, gumbo and various sugar-loaded desserts? Head to one of the several Lone Star restaurants for big American-sized portions of ribs, burgers, gumbo and something sweet to finish.

Fancy some American-style beers? Squid Row serves the Big Kahuna beer and Budweiser. It also has Boston Seafood Chowder and burgers teamed with fries on the menu if you’re peckish.

If you’re on a budget and just fancy some fast food there’s plenty to choose from but perhaps none so well suited to an American celebration as Dunkin Donuts or Carl’s Junior.

Auckland’s American Club has a fun-filled night planned at Swashbucklers with a Texan-themed event featuring country singer, song writer James Ray and for those that love their American fare there’s plenty of hotdogs, hamburgers and chips on the menu.
