Ascension is an absolute delight! Wonderful range of wines from local grapes and the big name wine regions. The food was superb and is backed up by all the awards Ascension has received over the years! I would recommend making a booking as even on the days you would expect them to be quiet the carpark can be full. This was my 5th visit to Ascension and after visiting a number of Wineries and Restaurants in the Matakana area I would have to say Ascension is the best by a country mile on Quality, experience and service!

Ascension exceeds on all levels; Sevice, Quality, Location and experience. I have travelled to Matakana region numerous times over the past 3 months and no trip north is complete without stopping at Ascension.
The whole experience is always a delight and a great place to take out of town visitors.
Extensive and award winning menu complimented by an outstanding selection of NZ Wines.
Just talking about the menu makes me want to hop in my Vehicle and drive north!
