I had read a review about Xuxu in one of the magazines or newspapers somewhere & had been excited to check it out since it opened. We had booked in at Cafe Hanoi & so decided to have a few nibbles and cocktails. It was so disappointing and I would not recommend this place to anyone! We had not eaten and the waiter was away with the fairies and more interested in seeing who else was arriving, he forgot 2 items we ordered. We ordered 3 cocktails each and I am convinced they had no alcohol in them as they just tasted sweet and we hadnt eaten too, so as a dedicated cocktail lover I would not recommend this place as I am convinced the cocktails are watered down. Bad form XuXu.

Had a mate visiting from Sydney & we stopped at Xuxu for drinks & a bite to eat. Outstanding service, fabulous food (we did try the chilli & smoked eggplant - yum!!) & devine wine recommend by the waitress. Not only I was I impressed but so was my very well-travelled mate who spends a lot of time in Asia & Europe.
Was a lovely relaxed atmosphere & I would gladly return and show Xuxu off to locals and any international visitors.

Discovered Xuxu over the weekend - what a cool little bar. Huge selection of cocktails (at Britomart prices mind) and the service was top draw. Xuxu is more intimate than the other bars around the area so a good opty for date night.

great bar in britomart. I really liked smith bar but pleased something like xuxu has arrived in its place. Went here after a meal at district dining (fantastic btw - review to follow) and finished a great end to the night with cocktails. Negroni was spot on and really pleasing to see the staff at xuxu were more than happy to converse. Won't be too hard to drag me down there again soon!

Cafe Hanoi is a destination in its own right but does get really busy so when I heard that they were opening a smaller version just around the corner I was over the moon. Got the chance to pay Xuxu a visit yesterday and was pretty impressed tbh. It's a lot more intimate than Cafe Hanoi and naturally doesn't have the same amount of food offerings on their menu (mostly tapas style stuff) but a really comfortable and welcoming venue.
From the food menu I had the scorched chillis and the minced lemongrass pork patties which were fantastic accompanying dishes to the Malbec I had.
Xuxu is a great new addition to Britomart but, like its big sister, expect it to become really popular soon.
