Wildfire Churrascaria Information
Wildfire Churrascaria on Princes Wharf, Downtown Auckland, is a unique Brazilian BBQ concept. Long skewers of NZ meats are gently roasted over a pit of glowing charcoal, then sliced sizzling-hot directly onto your plate. You pay one price and you dine to your heart's content.
But in the off-chance the carnivore in you doesn't quite feel like stuffing its face with succulent New Zealand beef, chicken, pork, Wildfire sausages, lamb, ribs, and fish basted with traditional marinades and gently roasted over a pit of glowing coals, don't let Wildfire's main attraction keep you away from their widely varied a la carte menu which even features vegetarian dishes.

Great food and great atmosphere.
I am a big fan of Churrascarias, good meat, served in a "rodizio" way, the waiters keep coming with different meats so you can try them all, you can spend a few hours in there! dont eat too much of the side dishes otherwise you get too full to enjoy the meat.
Great people, service at Wildfire Churrascaria is brilliant!
Recommend to all!
Went for dinner for family celebration. 6 of us.
Lovely waitress introduced herself right from the start & gave us outstanding service all night long.
Took 3 friends that have never been to Wildfire before. They were all very impressed with the atmosphere & the incredible tasting food.
I am Gluten Free ( not by choice) & when the waitress brought the amazing S & P squid to my table I asked if it was GF. She said she would go & check for me. She came straight back & said that it was not BUT the chef was making me a special GF batch of my own S & P squid. How is that for service!! Very impressed. Been 6 or so times now & are still impressed from start to finish.
Well done Wildfire!
They were great when the first opened. We were so impressed that we took some business clients there for dinner when they came to visit New Zealand. What a disaster!
The people serving us seemed to have been programmed to embarrass us for not ordering a more expensive version of their dinner than what we originally ordered or for not ordering more liquor. They tried to get us to upgrade everything that we ordered.
When I took the time to send Churrasco an email to offer feedback and register my complaint after that bad experience they never bothered to respond.
They used to offer a unique meal with a different atmosphere but now what comes across is that they only want to extract as much money as possible from you.
In my opinion, they are no longer worth the money that they ask for their dinners. I will never go back - ever!
Wildfire Churrascaria comes Highly Recommended....The music and the service went hand in hand with the FOOD it just kept coming and coming....Ladies topping up your cold glasses of water & drinks, the males serving the delectable meat on skewers....If your man is hungry and wants a full on meal, yummiest chicken, lamb cooked to perfection, chunks of pork and beef with a selection of gravy and mint sauce with a side of calamari rings, palento chips, slice of salmon and a delectable salad with OMG roasted potatoes, kumara's, pumpkin & the sweetest carrots....You're man will definitely thank you!!!!!!!
I love this place! It's a unique dining experience and a place I always recommend to people. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the City.
Great service, have been going for the past 8 years and havent had a problem once. Recommend if its a birthday to let the staff know and they will all come out and sing Happy Birthday in Brazillian. Service and ambience of restaurant is great, food is wonderful.
beautiful food but what i really love this place for is its Saturday night salsa and reggae-ton dancing...SO my very favourite place to go out and dance on a Saturday night
On Friday the 26th I took my boyfriend and two other couples to Wildfire. None of them had been there before. The service was really excellent and the food was superb and included appetisers, fresh vegetables steamed, a very large variety of meats and fish and a large choice of deserts. Everyone was talking about it all weekend and I was really pleased that we chose to go there. It is alot of food though so be prepared to eat well.
Wildfire Churrascaria has a fun atmosphere and the meat is devine. Enjoyed being tempted by the desserts and drinks on offer as they came round the tables. Only comment is the salad and vegies could be of higher standard.
I hate writing bad stuff but I wouldn't waste my money going here. I personally didn't like the service as the waiters took 20 mins to bring our drinks and we were the only people there. The food was not worth what we paid so I would not recommend this place to anyone!
The amazing Brazilian BBQ experience in the heart of Auckland's viaduct. Mouthwatering selection of meats and seafood brought to your table at this all you can eat extravaganza.
The salmon, lamb and beef are to-die-for and the desserts aren't too bad either!
We were really pleased with our meal there recently. Staff were professional and friendly, the music was great and there was a lively atmosphere.
Definitely recommend Wildfire for a great night out - don't eat before you go (and if possible skip lunch!) as you will want to get your money's worth - there is a set price per person and the delicious foods just keep arriving at your table - great value.
I was thoroughly impressed with the food at Wildfire Churrascaria in the Viaduct. All sorts of meat were offered in the all-you-can-eat option. The meat was well-cooked, and tender. The atmosphere seemed alive, yet intimate. The service was personal, and also very professional. I'll definately be dining there again for a special occasion. It is a bit pricey, but worth the money for a celebratory occasion.
In my experience I found the restaurant manager at Wildfire Churrascaria to be extremely ignorant and misleading. I was quoted a price for the dinner when I made a reservation. When it came time to pay the bill we were charged $40 extra for the food alone. I queried the bill and they made no explanation. I decided to wait until the next day when I was in my right mind to query the bill again. When I spoke to the manager over the phone, he would not accept fault and refused to refund the $40. I am disgusted at the level of customer service for what appears to be a classy restaurant. I do not recommend this Wildfire Churrascaria at all.
I went to Wildfire Churrascaria on a Wednesday night. The place was starting to get packed and the place was humming. We had the bbq which, if you enjoy a great deal of meat, is great. I'm not sure about the sides though (I'm sure kumara chips are not Brazilian). Try if you can to get a larger table as you will be looking through plates to see your dinner partner.
Because a waiter delivers a different plate of food, do not recommend this place if you wanted to be left alone. A fun experience though - if it's your birthday, make sure you let the staff know. You will be in for a nice surprise.
What more can you ask for ... it's the closest I have come to Brazilian cuisine outside of Brazil. Nothing can beat the taste the 'Brazileiros' cook up - a total Churrasco experience and the waiters/cooks are worth a peep too! (Why do South Americans have to look and sound so good!).
Try a Brazilian cocktail - Caiparingha - with cachaca, lime, sugar and ice, reminds me of the days in Rio. A sweet bitter tang. The decor of Wildfire Churrascaria is great - and the live band had everyone enjoying the South American culture ... this place is totally worth every cent.
We visited Wildfire Churrascaria for my husband's birthday, after hearing rave reviews. On arrival, we were told we had to vacate out table in an hour as the restaurant was busy. Looking around, there were only maybe ten other tables occupied. Eventually we were asked what we would like to drink, then the anti-pasta arrived, my son thought that this plate was just for him! We all had a couple of mouthfuls of food then the plate was empty.
After about 20 minutes, a waiter took our plates, then the main course we had been looking forward to arrived! The contents of tiered plates were an embarrassment, and when the squewered meat did eventually arrive, it was burnt to a crisp and we were given enough to satisfy a two year old!
The chicken arrived again; we all managed to get a fork full (and again it was incinerated). At last we were offered a rib of beef; after five minutes messing about with a carving knife we were served a slice of fat!
Needless to say, enough was enough. We left disgusted after 50 minutes. My husband paid the bill which was an incredible amount and more that the price advertised on their website.
Needless to say we will never return, or recommend this overpriced tourist gimmick to anyone!
I have great memories of Wildfire Churrascaria. Friday alfresco lunch, sunny Auckland afternoon, an open bottle of Joseph Drouhin Puligny-Montrachet and a man with a knife leaning over our table! If you're a meat lover, get yourself down to this place. Waiters carve meat directly from large skewers onto your plate. We tried beef, lamb and chicken, all very tasty with unique marinades. The waiter just kept on coming back to our table to offer us more hot roasted meat, until we could eat no more. Excellent service, great afternoon sitting by the water constantly grazing on roast meat (though far too much wine consumed!).
