I thought I'd try Westhaven Cafe again after a bad experience a year or 2 back. I wanted a tasty hot lunch and ended up with take away butter chicken.
I would have been better of at a cheap foodcourt eatery. The chicken was second rate brown meat and the sauce was watery and the only flavour I could find was Tomato Ketchup.
And the cost was $9.90. Far too expensive for this poor quality.
I'll go back to Tuck Inn over the road who serve similar hot lunches that are cheaper and tastier.
Definitely a case of the premises being more attractive than the food.
fairly mediocre cafe - central Westhaven location helps with its patronage but has the atmosphere of a hollywood cafe I'm afraid
Westhaven Cafe certainly isn't somewhere you go for the ambience, but the food is pretty decent for a local lunch bar. They do everything from sushi to chicken roti. The coffee is dreadful, weak and no visible means of froth. Westhaven Cafe is the only cheap lunch cafe in the neighbourhood, but it wouldn't take much to come up with a better offering.
