I was a visitor to Auckland and we stumbled upon umbria! It really is what it claims to be, the food is not pretentious or posh but at the same time not too basic for what they claim to be!
the service was wonderful! I must admit I am usually on the poor side so its not the sort of place I would frequent however the staff made me feel accepted and not at all out of place!
The cute waiter boy fell all over us waiting at our every need! I didnt want the sauce that came with the meal so they were happy to substitute for a different seasoning with no extra price, our meals were delivered and out comes the pepper grinder! As a waiteress myself I would say this was great service!
I had such a great meal there I returned again with my mother for brunch! were treated great by the same waiter boy and we definately will be back!
