We visiting The Sugar Club for their early dining offer as we were going to see a show. Our table was booked for 5.30pm and we were very warmly greeted by the staff as soon as we entered. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. We did not need to ask for anything. I love cocktails so asked for advice on what to choose and they helped in offering me the perfect choice. The food was delicious, fresh and having 3 courses was just the right amount. The deserts were very generous sizes. We were not rushed and you also have the option of going to the observatory level before or after dining. When we left it was raining so our hostess gave us a $10 gift card for a taxi cab so we didn't get wet which i thought was really thoughtful. I would definitely go back and recommend it to people.

New Zealand's celebrated chef Peter Gordon has designed the menu at The Sugar Club, which offers fine dining with views of the city from the Skytower. It was a great place to go for my friend’s Birthday and really nice that Peter came to our table.

I loved the dishes I chose, Crayfish with Otago saffron linguine was simply divine. I could have had a whole bowl of just that I would have. Then the Lamb Loin was beautifully presented with pomegranate, yoghurt, falafel and an eggplant and mint salad. Everyone’s dishes looked great though and I think even though they are small, 3 courses is plenty.

For dessert I was underwhelmed with the Solomon’s gold Chocolate sorbet. I just found there wasn’t any different flavours, it was just a plate of brown blandness. The Blueberry Cheesecake on the other hand was good and the Rhubarb with vanilla parfait was nice.

The Sugar Club offers an elegant dining experience including a luxurious cocktail bar with amazing views. Definitely a must for at least a cocktail and canapés.

Had a perfect evening at The Sugar Club. 5.30 may have felt early for dinner but enabled us to watch night fall. All the dishes we ordered were amazing but the Inari Pocket Tempura, Fish and Watermelon Salad were the stand outs. Staff were hugely attentive and extra amuse-bouches kept appearing between courses. Best trip up the Sky Tower ever and a lovely spot for a celebration.

Food as good as the view!!A group of 14 in the private room for dinner did not feel like too many.. Our Waiter Graham was ab awesome!! nothing was too much trouble. Smaller menu because of being a group but all the favourites were on there. That Beef Pesto!!! wow!!! extraordinary. The room got a little warm as the night wore on and one of the waiters turned menus in fans!!! The View is outstanding but the food made it worthwhile. Yes its pricey and is a "special occasion" restaurant, but its worth every dollar for the amazing smile on the birthday girls face as she alighted from the lift!.

One of the highlights of our recent trip to Auckland, the Sugar Club is unquestionably a bucket-list restaurant and impressively the food and service matches the superb setting perfectly. One of the real surprises for me was the staff - I've dined at a few Auckland restaurants on this trip and can easily say the ones at the Sugar Club were the least pretentious - refreshingly so!
A return visit is a must.

I got taken to the Sugar Club for a Birthday surprise for pre dinner drinks and canapes in the lounge area. Now damn it I just want to go back for a meal. The views are AMAZING, the place stylish and I felt extra special and treated being taken here. The bowl of olives came out warm which was a delight and the Duck liver parfait cones scrummy. No complaints here with my fav Veuve Cliquot in hand. The service was great, they even gave me a complimentary petti fours with Happy Birthday painted on my plate with chocolate sauce as soon as they realised it was my birthday.I would highly recommend to all for any type of experience.

A group of 12 of us enjoyed lunch in The Sugar Club. The venue is outstanding, gorgeous surroundings and of course, the view. The private room is located at one end of the restaurant and doesn't have much room so would suggest drinks at the bar. The toilets are at the opposite end so be prepared for the walk. The food was delicious but pricey. The desserts were the highlight. The wine list was outstanding as was the service. The Sugar Club is classy for sure, complimentary home made bread and sparkling water doesn't come cheap though,

Having spent the best part of a week traipsing around Auckland checking out the exciting new eateries that have been introduced since my last visit to Auckland about 18 months ago all I can say is Aucklanders, get out and support them as they are gold!
The highlight of my trip though was The Sugar Club which along with the sumptous view and first class service, is home to just about the best-priced fine dining experience around.
I was honestly quite surprised - 3 dishes for just over $80 - which is enough for my appetite with each offering being a terrific execution of great food.
My choices were the laksa, pork belly and as Peter's signature dish, couldn't go past the beef pesto. Outlandishly good. I say I had 3 dishes but I did swoop on an offering of a taste of my partners lemon pudding.
An elevated dining experience in every sense of the word - love it!

Lunch spots don't get much better than this! Our Manager shouted the team out today after securing a pretty sizeable account and I must say it was a very welcome surprise.
The setting is something out and although I'm not the biggest fan of heights, Auckland from this vantage is something to be savoured.
Loved the service with the staff member that served us being very informative without being overly-present.
As for the food - fantastic! I had the crab linguine with pine nuts and for dessert the peanut butter parfait...I'm still salivating thinking about these dishes 6 hours later.
Loved my Sugar Club experience and can't recommend it highly enough.

Wow - what an experience. Do believe the hype (and there's been a lot of it), but glad to report that the Sugar Club is every bit as good as I was hoping it would be. I was invited to dine here tonight with an old colleague and felt very privaledged indeed.
The setting itself is something to behold - Auckland really is an impressive city and to see it from this vantage point was something else. Especially love the brass bar!
I never had the opportunity to dine at Peter Gordon's other Sugar Club's but was swayed into trying the Pesto beef and what a delight that dish was.
The peanut butter parfait was also another dish that I can't help but recommend - amazing.
Peter keeps raising the bar and I'm so pleased to have experienced one of Auckland's very best dining experiences.
