Dining options are endless when it comes to Britomart. This Auckland CBD hub has long been the center of attention and the place to be for high fashion and exceptional food, dethroning the then popular High Street.Stopping by The Store for a bite to eat after an eventful day at the Auckland Art Galley, I went for a healthy afternoon tea. A generous serving of thick creamy yoghurt with walnuts, baked figs which has lightly caramelised and a wedge of honeycomb. The combination of the different consistency and flavours were splendid and it was just the right portion. Figs are in season and the people from The Store grow their own in their farm, ensuring the best quality to be served.

Had brunch with friends on a Saturday morning here - service was great - coffee presented perfectly (staff remember exactly who ordered what) and the meals were all delicious. The hand cut chips that came with the fish were a treat and the fish itself was beautiful. Try the shakes too - recommended!

The gelato is amazing. I would reccomend the salted caramel and the vanilla honeycomb! The beetroot and haloumi salad is a winner too

went there today as had heard good things.but the food was quite underwhelming. my partner had fish and chip butty- only one bit of bread and no butter for 21 bucks and i had the potato boulangere which was very soggy and oily. but wait - there is more. our plates had been cleared and i was finishing my drink when the waitress dumped the bill in front of me and said= 'when you ready'. i was appalled. trying to get us to leave maybe? i said 'oh are you closing' she said no so i wondered why it was i had received the bill without actually asking for it. this made us feel very unwelcome and like they wanted us to leave instead. we didn't feel comfortable sitting there reading the paper after this and we got up and i went to pay the bill,. i remarked upon this when i paid the bill and the guy said 'sorry' which was something but i really cant imagine why a business would make their customers feel so unwelcome. the place was not packed or anything either so its not like they needed the table ( which isnt really a customers problem anyway) i have worked in hospitality for 15 years and i really think this is unacceptable in an industry which relies on quality of food and service. you can do much better in auckland for sure.

As a fussy Wellington coffee drinker The Store is one of too few Auckland cafe's which can consistently make Flat Whites to my high standards. The Store is split into to sides - an eat in and a takeaway so you don't have to stand around in the middle of the cafe waiting for your coffee. I love the fact they pour you sparkling water instead of still , and the on site bakery means the pastries, scones, muffins and breads are all fresh and yummy.

As a visitor to Auckland I stopped in at "The Store on Britomart". I was pleasantly surprised: lovely casual atmosphere and I loved the idea of the "half and half" sit-down dining with the fabulous array of takeaway food and baking delights. The real speciality for me (because I was thirsty!) - was the home-made "fruit syrups" in fizz - fab! AND I had the best smoothie as well! The food was delicious and I also bought lots of delights to take home to be eaten the next day. A piece of "The Store on Britomart" enjoyed in Wellington! Cant' wait to water and feed myself there again on my next trip up the Island. J:)

We love Auckland in the summertime, and now that you can get an AMAZING icecream right in the heart of Britomart it is even better! Took my kids into town to watch an enormous cruise ship depart the other day, before heading to The Store. I had a scoop of Bounty which was delicious, as were the Honeycomb and Salted Caramel. Will have to return and try the food sometime soon.
