Stayed up in Auckland for the Ed Sheeran concert and found myself returning to the Grassy Knoll on both of the days we were here. The coffee is great but the Malaysian chicken salad was something altogether. So tasty and refreshing and they dont skimp on the chicken. Love the Grassy Knoll - its a cafe that is well worth checking out.

just when you thought we were too spoilt for choice when it comes to down Auckland's cafe scene, along pops the Grassy Knoll. Decisions, decisions - that's the difficult part.
The Grassy Knoll already seems to be the deserving recipient of high praise amongst Auckland's foodie community. Really cool space with both indoor and outdoor options and a good, if not limited, array of counter food options. My late morning choice of a Breakfast toastie was spot on and in conjunction with a great Atomic coffee, a great way to start the day me-thinks.
Looking forward to more good things from the grassy knoll - and a few more breakfast meetings there.
