Flying Moa has it all for a suburban pub and if you’re anywhere within a 10km radius, I’d suggest making it your local!

Why is it a great place that I would definitely return to? So many reasons....
- great food with a good variety of choices and prices, including platters for groups
- great variety of drinks, including some yummy cocktails and cider on tap
- a loyalty card scheme which is great value
- plenty of deals / offers on
- a variety of seating areas from leaners to dining tables, indoor and al fresco and all comfortable and modern
- a pool table for some entertainment
- a host of events on, including a great regular quiz night (get in there early though because it gets packed out!)
- free and easy parking (such a rarity in Auckland!)
- plenty of large screen TVs to show live sport (and they’ll play different sports on different TVs to satisfy all punters!)

The Flying Moa is a great bar if you are looking for a casual pub with great food. Their tasting platters are delicious, albeit a tad expensive, and their drinks menu is wide ranging. Most nights have different offers, including cocktail and menu specials. The restaurant side of the venue is comfortable and has great food to satisfy all appetites. The large screen TVs are awesome for watching live sport on and the pool table is great for a quick round while you make your way through your jug. If you live in the Mt Wellington/Ellerslie/Meadowbank area, this pub should be your new local!
