Thai Isaan is a small, neighbourhood restaurant that has been in Birkenhead for a along time now. The food is tasty with a lot of flavour in the sauces, but I found the meat (beef and chicken) a little tough. I might order something vegetarian if I went there again. Service was fine but not particularly welcoming.
