If you like waiting for over an hour for a plate of fatty duck and paying an extra $2.50 for Rice then this is the place for you!!!
Simply rude and careless.
Mothers Day - nice quiet, well mannered family meal - all good. Then the bill arrived. We were overcharged so much - then he blamed us for his (manager's) mistake. He told us that he didn't care if we told others - or if we ever came back. So here it is everyone - these guys rip you off and then treat you like muck. And, not surprisingly we are not going back! He so knew that he'd tried to pull a fast one and we spotted it.
I don't care how good the food is, there is no excuse for rudeness or trying to con customers. We were a mild mannered adult family group who just wanted to take our mum out for dinner. This rude manager totally spoilt the evening. There are hundreds of great Thai restaurants out there - I advise to avoid this one if you can.
As an ex-Parnell local, I was more than keen to take my visiting Canadian friends to a old fave Thai meal last week, as they have been craving a decent Thai meal. Unfortunately, my fiance's beer ordered while we were waiting for them to arrive, was delivered 15 minutes too late, the service was beyond a joke, with a huge wait for our meals and when they did arrive they had forgotten to put any duck in the red duck curry, quoted as being 'The worst duck curry ever' . I certainly don't feel I have been missing out on my old fave.
Thai Friends had nice food but the level of service was appalling - the Fawlty Towers of Parnell.
There was a delay of twenty minutes between the arrival of the first entree and the last. The excuse for the delay was the takeaway service was very busy and took precedence over the in-house diners!!
One of our party of six ordered lamb curry - beef curry was given and they denied they had made a mistake. If you could not eat beef due to cultural reasons this would have been a problem.
No dessert or tea/coffee were offered.
The manager was not concerned when we raised this with him - makes you think this is is the normal practice in this restaurant.
Went on a Saturday night, without booking first and waited over an hour, food was really good, although our evening was spoilt a bit by a moody waitress, but that wouldn't put me off going back.
