Love this place, go back over and over. Not a big menue but a good menue. I love their calamari salad... the spicy tamarind fish sauce is amazing! And they have just started doing genuine Buffalo Wings they way they were invented in the states. No one else in NZ does them right!

Nice and relaxed atmosphere. Pleasant staff and nice food. Coffee was great. Only downside was that they couldn't get the patio heater to work and it was a little cold. Having said that, I'd go back there!

The only thing good about this place is the curly fries and the coffee. The service was slow and the food was rubbish. Do yourself a favour and keep driving past this place.

took a group of about 12.service was fine and staff friendly but unfortunately food quality not as good as hoped for.Calamari was not great nor were there any vegetarian options that took our fancy.great location .Hopefully just an off day and will go back one day.

Totally appalling service! Waited one hour for food! No apology other than the waitress telling us that another table had arrived late (how, exactly was this our problem??!!). We will never return - nor would we ever recommend Takahe Restaurant & Bar to anyone!

I agree, we had rude service from 2 female staff today when we sent a burnt coffee back. Will never go back to Takahe Restaurant. Poor. - Report

What a lovely place Takahe Restaurant & Bar is. Such friendly people and great service in a relaxed setting - you can't ask for more.


My parner and I shared the calamari and mussels in a Laksa sauce - delicious! Takahe Restaurant & Bar in Titirangi will make a perfect excuse for a weekend drive out to the 'burbs!
