The place has yet again undergone a name change and is now known as Pho Saigon. It looks like the place has undergone a recent refit offering a comfortable, clean premises. Food's not too bad, but I wouldn't say it's the best Vietnamese in town. However, my fellow diners and I agreed that they don't use much MSG (or possibly none) in their food. Typically get quite thirsty after eating soup based Vietnamese stuff. But did not get that with this meal. So that was a plus. Prices are slightly higher than some other places, perhaps a reflection of the premises and location. The restaurant had a steady stream of customers coming in and out, even after the lunch rush on Saturday. Apparently the proprietors are still the same as the original, Bahn Mi Bale, and that little underground place on Elliot Street years and years ago. Generally okay food. I might come back when I'm in the area. Their menu is now a combination of Vietnamese and Malaysian cuisine. Might go back to try their Malaysian food. I recommend their jackfruit shake. Thick and yummy.
