My boyfriend and I had a voucher to use at Shochiku Japanese, and I would have to say we found it uncomfortable. The staff pretty much ignored us, and seemed to be unorganised. The didnt even offer us a drink while we waited for them to set up. We had booked by the way, and the whole restaurant downstairs was empty. We finally got to sit at a table, while our chef cooked our teppanyaki dinner infront of us (awkward silence). Most other places I have been to interact with the table and make it exciting. We ate and left, thinking that was the weirdest restaurant experience we had ever had... Disappointing, considering the whole point of doing daily deal vouchers is to get people in to try it, have a good experience, and then recommend it to others.

A few of us went to Shochiku Japanese Teepan Yaki Restaurant pre-show because Tanuki's was packed (as always), and we needed a quick bite up this end of town.

The dinner box was very good value ($14, I seem to remember), washed down with a few bottles of Sapporo - cheep and cheerful is always good.

Not too familiar with this portion of Queen Streets' eateries, but Shochiku Japanese Teepan Yaki is worth a visit!
