Visited Shaky Isles for a takeaway coffee and a cold drink for my daughter yesterday when the santa parade was on. Couldn't really find the place as there was no visible signage really. could maybe do with a window display or something.
went up to the counter and ordered a coffee for myself. we were running late and the barista was very understanding and had a coffee in my hands within a minute or so. before my daughter could choose her juice infact. tasted awesome and service to match. Thanks guys will be popping back for breakfast with the whole family
Agree Shaky Isles is a stylish place with great energy, but the hot chocolate was AWFUL. Ordered a take away hot chocolate; it was steam milk and blobs of chocolate at the buttom.
I would be shocked to receive that kind of hot chocolate for free, but paid $5.
Went back to the cafe to give feedback, but I did not see any follow up care. Only hope was to see some quality in customer service.
Nevermind, not going back again or recommending.
ive grown to love good stuff in a sandwich its my favorite item on the menu. But they have a good selection of cabinet food when i am in a hurry. I end up eating at Shaky Isles most days and they now know recognise me....haha so they should
So bad it was worse.
Poor service poor coffee Poor me.
Would never go back to Shaky Isles. People working there seem like they just don't care- looked them up and it turns out they are just another investment vehicle - corporate coffee- yuck.
Yum to the Shaky burger and also have had a a couple of breakfasts there too which were good. people seemed nice. love the free wi-fi at Shaky Isles Britomart too. wouldnt mind something new on the menu though
Shaky Isles in Britomart has a funky environ bright environment, but somewhat disappoints otherwise.
Food was alright and nothing special. It was generally prepared well, except my brioche was a over-toasted, making it really dry.
Average priced, tending towards the higher end of the scale.
Partner was not really happy with what he'd paid for.
Service was slow, looks like they were under-staffed as it was certainly difficult to get a staff member's attention.
My friend and I got takeaway mochas from Shaky Isles Britomart, but they did not taste like a proper mocha at all, but rather pretty bland and bad coffee. It turns the chocolate hadn't mixed in at the bottom, so we had to go back and get sticks to stir it through. I would expect a takeaway mocha to be already well stirred and taste better for that price.
I love Shaky Isles from first moment I saw it in Britomart. Never heard it before but because of its quirky and creative decor, I fell in love and wanted to try the food and of course the coffee!I went to Shaky Isles on Saturday afternoon for lunch. I ordered the Shaky Burgers and it was delicious and well-worth the money. Coffee was also very very nice. I ordered whitakers-mocha although the chocolate was too much and overpowered the coffee taste. Service was fast and staffs were friendly. Highly recommended!I really love this cafe and will definitely come back for more.
