Went in with husband and kids the other day, seemed to be a mix up with the orders but barista sorted it all out. Waitress was friendly and overall was a very nice environment... will definitely visit again!
2 of us ordered Big Breakfast each, Latte and Berry Smoothie (Had this 3 times – always great!)
Pluses:– Home made potato hash browns (potato rostis) and they are yum!WHY DON’T MORE CAFE’S DO THEIR OWN HASH BROWNS!!!– Home made baked beans and they are yum!- Nice Kransky sausage- Proper butter served on the side
Minuses:– Had to choose between mushrooms and baked beansInteresting:- Free range eggs but would also like free range bacon and sausages- We have rung ahead with order when on a tight time schedule which they don’t mind
Verdict: – We definitely will go back to Roasted Addiqtion again!
I went for brunch here on Saturday morning, the coffee is fantastic but that's about it unfortunately. Our meals were really average. I had the poached eggs (over-cooked and tiny), on small pieces of turkish bread (hard, dry) and a side of bacon (overcooked). I had to ask twice for for butter for my toast before I got it. My friend had the vege hash stack, really greasy hash browns on that same dry turkish bread with a bit of avocado and some aioli. Odd combination - good if you're carbo-loading maybe? The meals aren't expensive so I guess you get what you pay for. Service was ok but a bit slow.
This is one of my old tried and true favourite cafes, their cake cannot be beat and there is a good reason that its always full for breakfast and lunch, its as much about the atmosphere as the food and I have a good opinion of both.
I have on the odd occasion had some dodgy service there, but mostly they cope well with the crowds.
Coffee is to die for.
I wouldn't recommend Roasted Addiqtion in Kingsland. 4 of us went for brunch on a Sunday. Meals came out at different times. 2 of the 4 meals were stone cold (not nice when they were the 'big breakfast'!) and one had burnt pancakes. Coffees and hot chocolates were also cold on receipt. We politely asked for them to be redone, they came out ages later, but again cold. We asked for a refund and was told that was ok, but 20mins later still hadn't seen it. Asked what was happening and told they didn't think they could refund (we were still waiting on a frappe that hadn't arrived too). After 1 hour of being there, finally got refund, but not once did any of the staff members apologise. They made it seem as though it happens regularly!!
Atmosphere was ok, but Roasted Addiqtions' service and food was terrible.
The food and coffee is great but the service is awful. Visited Roasted Addiqtion with some friends -- paid separately but on the same number, one meal came out when another finished their meal and so on. They offered us a complimentary coffee - it never came. Unfortunately this lack of good service has occurred on both of my previous visits to Roasted Addiqtion - I won't be making that mistake again.
Gosh, the coffee at Roasted Addiqtion will keep you awake all night, but it's the best coffee I've ever tasted. The cake is good too - especially the carrot cake. The Bohemian ambience is laid back and there's often a live singer which can be good.
