Spent the weekend in Waiheke traipsing around the island and sampling the local drink and food. Had heard some really good things about Poderi Crisci Restaurant - it's a fair hike to get there (offroad) and even if the weather was bad (as it was), still nice and relaxing. Really good antipasto platters and wine nice - Poderi Crisci is certainly well worth the slog!

Suprised my boyfriend with a trip to Waiheke Island last week to celebrate his birthday. Had booked at Poderi Crisci Restaurant (which I had heard was a must).
Setting is so romantic (you can see why it's such a hit with weddings) and memorable.
Food wise, the Poderi Crisci menu is pretty rustic - I had the ravioli which was very tasty and for dessert, had a delicvious pannacotta. My boyfriend had the meatloaf which he was thrilled about although he didnt rate the mousse.. Overall, a great dining experience - Poderi Crisci is thoroughly recommended.
