This really is the best Indian restaurant I have visited in New Zealand.
Before we found Raviz, my wife and I were looking forward to an upcoming trip to the UK in order to eat great Indian food. Raviz changed all that. When we did visit the UK we found the Indian food on offer nowhere near as good as Raviz.
I normally order a Googley Masala. This is a Raviz special dish that includes both chicken and lamb in a tasty masala gravy.
It's worth keeping an eye out on Grab One as discount vouchers for Raviz frequently appear.
After purchasing some vouchers for Raviz through Grabone, and hearing our friends say it was "the best on the Shore", we went along determined that we would be there on a "good" night. Sadly that wasn't the case, in fact I don't think I would ever go back here. Getting our order taken was extremely quick but then the delivery of the food was soooooo slow! Although we had a voucher which included drinks (and the staff were aware that we had a voucher) we were told of the "rules" around the drinks only after we had ordered them- house beer and wine only! looking at the voucher there was no mention of this rule. Pretty slack.A table who seated after us had eaten and left just was we got our entree. Our 2 young children were starving by the time we eventually got our food and, to be honest, I just wanted it put in takeaway containers and take it home. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. Apologies from the slow delivery of food to our table by all staff just didn't make up for it in my mind. I wish I had read the reviews BEFORE purchasing our vouchers and I think we will stick to our local and not venture to Raviz again!
