Happened to be near Greenwoods corner on Fri around lunch time & wondered up Manukau Rd looking for a cafe with a bit of style along with good food, most of the cafes were empty but Raven & Cook was buzzing. My husband spotted the Whitebait fritters on the wall menu. They were made from fresh, mainly whitebait with little egg, served with white bread & baby watercress ! Amazing !! Very very tasty ! (Perhaps Simon Gault should shout himself lunch there. We had a (1 only) w/bait fritter at the Hilton in Taupo recently, it was dreadful, mainly egg with a teaspoon of W/bait, very thick & probably made the day before).
We waited a wee while at R & C but it was worth it, being made from fresh. We had a cup of tea, can't remember the brand, but v good too. I had veg quiche, homemade pastry & also v tasty. Friendly service & we decided the shop was probably the old AMC butchery many years ago.

Raven & Cook has an interesting menu on offer. Your usual standard fare with a few twists here and there. Some ingredients which are not your usual fare are used as well.

Food comes in a good portion size and is tasty.

Their hot chocolate was delicious. Froth was smooth and creamy and the hot chocolate tasted more than just milk with a dash of chocolate.

The place is quite small, so I think it's best to go early. You could try going later as well. However, if you are aiming to try one of their pies, then you'll have to go early as they run out and apparently only make for the day.

Unlike the previous reviewer, I didn't experience as long a waiting time for our meals to be served. The restaurant was pretty full when I visited but some people had already been served. I thought the wait was reasonable.

had lunch with friend in this new cafe the other day, waited more than 50 mins for our food, the lady set at the table next to us said they had been waited for more than one and half hour for their dishes. fancy looking menu, the food is average. my FW coffee tasted soy milk and not hot, a bit yak. i wonder to know how this shitty place can appear on Metro.

thoroughly recommend this new cafe. Had the granola here last week which was great btw but it was the service that set Raven & Cook aside. Great to have a cafe of this calibre in Greenwoods Corner and can only wish them all the best!

I must have done the Shore to Airport run 4 times in the last three weeks and after the first couple of trips decided to leave a bit earlier so I could call into Greenwoods Corner and check out Raven & Cook.
Small space but plenty of energy-staff were more than helpful and coping admirably with the influx of parents looking for some school-holiday respite.
Allpress coffee was good and the daily specials more than tempting but this was a flying visit - so the chicken ceasar wrap was on the cards.
Great first up experience of Raven & Cook - I'll be voluntaring myself for a few more airport runs if a visit to Greenwoods Corner is a possibility.
