Food's fantastic, staff are friendly. Great views on a sunny day on top of everything else. Pure Restaurant is one of my favourite lunch venues.
Within 3 minutes of Pure you can eat in 3-4 terrific restaurants. You would assume that with that level of competition Pure would be good. Friendly service was all it had going for it. Each course was a disaster and pretty expensive. It's a shame because we were looking forward to the meal.
Pure Restaurant has a warm atmosphere with a cheerful and very competent team. The food was so delicious and differently to everything we have eaten in several other places. Really: amazing. Pure Restaurant would have given us a reason to even stay an other week or more in New Zealand... Only for coming back and having an other, wonderful evening out at Pure.

Back on holiday from London, I popped into Pure for dinner midweek on family members recommendation and am thoroughly glad I did! The service was excellent, personal and attentive (without being obtrusive) and the food was delicious. I had perfectly cooked red snapper with Israeli cous cous, an original accompaniment withh a complimentary texture. The flavours were very "Pure" rather than overly seasoned or smothered in sauces. The desserts also made me glad I decided to try and fit a bit in. The wine list is fairly extensive, being a bit out of touch with NZ wines for the past few years I picked a bit at random and was pleasantly surprised. Pure is definitely worth checkig out, especially if you are after a lovely meal but a relaxed, low key setting.
