It may be a fair hike to Red Beach, but if it's a rich, filling and inexpensive bowl of Pho (Vietnamese Noodle Soup) then Saigonz is your place. The seafood noodle soup with chilli takes some beating, and for only a shade over a tenner, well worth the extra petrol money spent getting to Saignonz
We couldn't compile a recommended soups in Auckland feature without mentioning the prince of all soups ... the French Onion. And no place does a better French Onion soup than Torchon in the Elliot Stables. C'est Magnifique!
