If you drove past Papa Pizza's you could completely miss it as it's hidden in a little corner but what's behind those doors is a complete Italian haven! The aroma's as you walk into this Italian restaurant hit you straight away along with ever so friendly bar staff. Although you need to walk through the kitchen - you will find yourself in a quaint garden bar where there are ferry lights alight! I choose the Fettucine Carbonara which was served in my own casserole dish still bubbling from the oven – it was absolutely delicious! It was real authentic home Italian flavour treat – highly recommend!

Neat little pizza place with an awesome backyard eating area. The pizzas are pretty darn good with the Mexicana and apricot chicken being our personal faves. Fine beer on tap and very friendly staff make Papa's a great place to spend a summer afternoon. The garlic loaf is recommended. Just make sure you call well in advance if you want to takeaway as they get pretty busy in the evening!

Papa's Pizza is not only a restaurant but it is also the provider of regular fun every Tuesday night - Papa's Pub Quiz. Mike, is often the quiz master and has an irrepressible sense of fun and genuine interest in all the attendees that it is a pleasure to be there.

I visit Papa's Wholemeal Pizza regularly with a group of friends who eat enormous amounts of pizza and pasta here and I've heard much praise about the flavour and the quantity. I have tried the pizza and it was lovely. Ironically, I can't eat a lot of cheese but I eat with my eyes...Regular torture every Tuesday .... The wines, particularly the reds, are generally good and before 7 are $6 a glass, so great value.

I think the welcoming environment, its informality and cosiness are at least 50% of Papa's success. So what if you have to go through the kitchen? as one reviewer commented on - yes, it's unorthodox but it makes you feel like part of the establishment and you get a very nice hello from the chef. My only negative observation is one male member of staff in the kitchen who is less than warm - but the others more than make up for this.

Yes, the prices have gone up but to be fair, they were strikingly low before, so there's no sense of being ripped off.

All, in all, a great venue which I observe to be continually striving to up the ante in the social and eatery stakes - well done Papa's Pizza!!

It seems that Papa's is getting more and more popular. I had a long wait for my takeout order but it was well worth it. I did notice a few increases in price since my last visit a few months earlier but that didn't bother me. The homemade spinach and ricotta cannelloni is to die for! Aswell as the tuscan pizza. I just wish it wasn't so far away so I could enjoy it more often. Highly recommend going!

Went to Papas for a xmas get together with friends and I was very suprised (in a good way) Little local italian place with great food and great atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and although the place was extremely busy, they bought our food and drinks on time. The only negative comment is having to walk through the kitchen when you walk up the stairs - isn't a very good look. Oh and loved the outdoor seating. Looking forward to going back again!

I have been here before as a dine in and based on my enjoyment of the pizza last time, I was really looking forward to splashing out on myself and tucking into a good quality Italian pasta. My choice was the seafood pasta. Firstly I was surprised that takeaway price was the same as dine in at $18.50. having initially been attracted by it's warm and traditional interior I suspect that it's this ambiance that other people are drawn to. I arrived home, opened it up - the pasta at the bottom had been burnt? The contents was swimming in cream sauce and didn't look to be very substantial with very little pasta. I dished it out and it was a good 1cm distance from the rim of a desert bowl... First mouthful convinced me that the sauce could be less and went back to the kitchen to drain. The flavor was bland, prawns and mussels were chewy and half way through it's overbearing tasteless creaminess i decided to give up... bloody shame that was coz I'm really enthusiastic in trying out local places.
I think they need to assess what traditional Italian is all about especially when it is clear that this is the concept they coat themselves in.
The waitress who took my order was lovely but the other male waiter who, based on photos around, is a longevity employee, was rather arrogant and bored.

After a busy Saurday I was really looking forward to a great night with good food & wine. The entree arrived of pizza bread with various toppings. I tried one piece it was tasteless & unpleasant. The others at my table must have felt the same as there was so much left. Maybe the next course would be better, not so. Pizza with sooooo much cheese you could not taste what it was with. Again sooo much was left, so as we had so little to eat we asked for a doggie bag for our sons who like that sort of thing - no go as the staff get the left overs (poor guys). A tasteleess pasta to finish. I could not tell you about the wine. I was still sooo hungry I went up the road to a Burger bar for a King Burger, at last something i could eat. One of the most unpleasant nights out I have had for a very long time.

Was recommended Papas Wholemeal Pizza Cafe by a work colleague for a fun night out. Was excellent, food was great and the staff were young, energetic and it had a great vibe.
Reasonably price food, it's now licensed.
Just loved the atmosphere, was very busy, but the staff looked after everyone.
Highly reccomended if you're looking for a exciting local restaurant.

Was told about this restaurant by a friend, so had some international visitors over and went out to try the Italian pzza. We booked ahead, thank goodness we did, as on a Saturday night it was busy and humming.
Found the atmosphere great, staff were young, friendly and entertaining.

We decided to try their house wines and picked out a surprisingly enjoyable Italian white, which for the price was very good. We had to wait a while for the food, but because conversation was flowing, it wasn't a problem for us. It was worth the wait anyway.

We had the pizza, which although not authentic Italian was still very nice. Some had the pasta, which they enjoyed.
All in all, was a great night out and the staff and atmosphere were very enjoyable. Our bill at the end of the night I thought was good and I believe we got our money's worth. Recommended for a casual relaxed night out.
