Horrendous.

I sat down for a coffee in the outdoor area and was overwhelmed by the odorous cat faeces emanating from the sandpit. This is obviously quite unpleasant and unsafe for the children playing in there.

I complained and was approached by a small man wearing a cheese cutter with an abrasive attitude who informed me that all sandpits are targeted by stray cats and children play in the sandpit all the time without complaint.

The food and coffee was okay, however One 2 One cafe was lacking in atmosphere and the lack of a half decent manager shows.

Not impressed.

Excellent service, food was value for dosh tasted a bit meh, eclectic cover of people, leftovers being given to cats, children in the sandpit, a couple of comedienne celebs, relaxed. Good selection of bevies. Great outdoor area for eating and smokers.

On the whole a pretty good experience for friends and I sitting on a sunny deck enjoying the atmosphere and laughter. Defo worth visiting again but go on public transport. Parking is awful.

Went along to one 2 one cafe to their tuesday night open mic night. They have run this for over a year since it was shifted from the London bar when it closed.

Run by Callum, it was a well oiled machine and at times was fully packed with standing room inside only once all the tables filled up. Sound was ok, talent was sometimes tragic sometimes sublime.

There was plenty of room out the back in the garden bar with heaters to help too.

Staff were very professional but pretty busy though I'm not sure if there was much food happening, lots of coffee and alcohol being sold, but good on one 2 one for hosting this type of event.

Well worth the trip to ponsonby on a tuesday night if you like to see a lot of local performers and hang with your friends at a place with a great buzz. Might just book in a time for myself to bust out some tunes.

Visited the Cafe 121 yesterday looking for a lite lunch with friends. After inquiring which side of the Atlantic their $14 sardines on toast came from and being told they were from Thailand! I chose a plain bagel with tomato, avocado, and pesto I was told my sides would all be extra to the plain bagel, which I sadly assumed I would be charged for at a plain bagel price. A soy single shot flat white on top and I was asked for $21.00! This may seem anal on my part but the same bagel and sides I had ordered are available from most Cafes on Ponsonby Road for $8.50 - this was double. There was a line behind me so I paid without question and awaited my $16.50 bagel with sides. What I received was the bagel, pesto, and a 1/4 of an avocado (a little frugal)...but no tomato. I of course asked where my $4.50 worth of tomato had got to? After a trip back to the kitchen I was informed that this had not been paid for and they needed cash from me at the table to have my tomato released. I offered to pay once I had eaten but this simply could not be allowed. So an extra $4.50 was collected and my half tomato was surrendered to me.Bottom line would be a cafe with a sand-pit is nice for the kids but a cafe can not survive on this alone. $25.50 for a bagel and coffee is down right stupid. One 2 One improve your pricing options and flexibility, improve your staff's problem solving skills and above all else stop running your cafe from the kitchen! Front of house should make calls on customers satisfaction. No likes like being told that someone they can not see or talk to has decided the fate of your dinning experience.

Caught up with some friends today at One 2 One. The cafe looks like it's had a bit of a make over since I was here a couple of months ago. As always, a fantastic place if you've got kids young enough to enjoy the sand pit and the best fluffies in town. Great coffee and pleasant staff too :) Food came out quickly and my eggs were excellent as were the rest of our meals.

Go to One 2 One Cafe almost every time we are over in Ponsonby with my two little ones. The sandpit is always a good reason to pay a visit - it distracts the kids for long enough to enjoy the good coffee and their toasted chocolate and raspberry brioches!
If you've got kids in tow, there's not a great deal of places in Ponsonby to go for so One 2 One is very much worthwhile.

Joined a friend at Cafe One to One on Saturday for breakfast. Had enjoyed this cafe when it was Atomic, so was looking forward to a quality breakfast and a decent coffee.
All I can say is that is was just ok - nothing more, nothing less.

The breakfast (bacon, poached eggs, sauteed potato with chutney) was a little disappointing -- the eggs were almost hard boiled; the chutney was actually bottled tomato sauce. And the potato? No decent serving here ... we got a half slice of a small potato each.

The service was good, however, and the coffee was acceptable, though not superb.
