Since opening 9 years ago, Nicolino Restaurant & Cube Bar has become a popular Devonport establishment and destination.
It provides a "taste of Greece and the Mediterranean" in every sense of the word: the food, the beverages, the atmosphere, the entertainment and the relaxed, informal but attentive service that is characteristic of Greece and the Mediterranean.
An evening at Nicolino Restaurant & Cube Bar is like being transported to another world for a few relaxing hours. We are an easy walk from the Devonport ferry terminal, meaning a brief, easy and enjoyable trip for city residents or guests to get to our establishment without the need to drive.

Since opening 14 years ago Nicolino Restaurant has become a popular Devonport restaurant. It really does have the taste of Greece and the Med. Where else can you go and get an authentic one man Greek band, Greek dance and smashing of plates. It’s an easy walk from the ferry and across from the cinema if you want to catch a movie afterwards.
The Catalan duck was too die for – oven glazed duck breast with creamy pear on spinach and garlic potatoes topped with a mushroom sauce. Such a strange combination you think but it just works.
The other meals around at my friend’s Birthday dinner looked equally as good and good portion sizes. So much so after garlic bread to start we couldn’t move onto dessert.
Absolutely terrible - seafood platter was from a frozen packet and some of the scallops and calamari was still frozen. Expensive bad food - and when the staff were informed that the food was still frozen they just offered us a free dessert. Seafood pizza was cheese and anchioves - awful!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
Was working in Auckland, jumped on the ferry to Davenport on a lark then set to looking for drinks and a friendly atmosphere. Top of the road and there it was. A night to remember! Delicious food (I had vegetarian pizza), great wine in copious quantities and a warm and friendly family atmosphere. I was lucky to catch the last boat back! Highly recommended spot.
Always a great night at Niko's "The Cube" Restaurant. I am not a big fan of Pizza, but Niko's pizza's are not your run of the mill pizzas.
Every time we have eaten at Cube Bar & Cafe (at least four times in the last six months) we are served with great hospitality and shots of sambuca free with each meal.
Greek night is a hoot. Well worth the ferry ride to Devonport.
