Mozaik Cafe

Went to Mozaik on a Sunday and was surprised at the size of the cafe, quite a nice setting with good indoor and outdoor facilities, we were greeted at the door and this and the rest of the service was very friendly throughout.

The menu was big with the old classics as well as some points of difference. I love ice tea so ordered the peach version of the in house made ice tea and couldn't help but order a white hot chocolate also.

Food wise my wife had the usual eggs on toast whilst I went for the corn Benedict which was a corn fritter with bacon, poached egg and hollandaise, a nice twist on a traditional dish. Both dishes were good and served with a tasty pesto. The fritters were a little on the floury side but other than that fine.

The drinks were also pretty good although the hot chocolate is a little milky.

Overall this was a surprisingly good visit as I didn't expect to much from a cafe in this location just off the motorway. My wife also got a blueberry muffin which looked great but looked better than it tasted as there wasn't much filling inside.

I changed my habits today and called in to Mozaik on Constellation for a change. So far so good, coffee great, service pretty good, lots of papers to read, might make this a more regular change of habit.
