I placed a phone order for delivery (7pm on Sunday evening) I was greeted by a polite & friendly woman over the phone. Ordered 1 half Tandoori chicken (only $10!!), 1 butter chicken (med/hot) and one garlic naan. I was advised the delivery time would be half an hour. It arrived 20 minutes later fresh & hot. Driver was smiley, neatly dressed & professional.

Moti Mahal in Freemans Bay are curry experts. The tandoori half chicken was fabulous. Rich red in colour, fragrant, beautifully char grilled in the tandoor oven but moist & succulent. It was accompanied with lemon slices & a generous serving of delicious yoghurt raita for dipping. A bargain at $10.

The butter chicken was impressive. Again, rich in colour & aroma. Sweetened delicately with honey (not too sweet as many can be) Nice buttery texture and garnished with sliced almonds. Generous portions of tender, smokey tandoori chicken breast.

Top marks Moti Mahal. Delicious value for money with prompt, pleasant service.

I regularly eat at various Indian establishments around Auckland, and I can honestly say that these guys are up there with the best (Satya, Oh Calcutta etc)
