Service and food was great. We had lunch there and the wine match was exceptional. The food had that 'wow' quality which means that we will be returning soon for dinner. Thanks for a great lunch and will be back for more. Dessert was not your usual affair which was great.
This is a trendy and upmarket restaurant. I was left a little underwhelmed - when we were paying $30+ for mains I expected better service - we dined realy in the evening and the wait staff seemed more interested in chatting in the corner. It's ok if you like 'cutting edge' food, like tobacco syrup in the dessert.
Real nice...pleasant enough surroundings... great place to dine for those who enjoy good food... not cheap but fair value for your money. Highly recommend
Great to see Molten getting the recognition this restaurant deserves! I read today that it won one of the Cuisine awards for restaurant of the year - only down side is now I'm going to have to share my local with a whole host of other people!
I was lucky enough to go to Molten for a work function. We started off in the small bar downstairs, then moved to the private room upstairs. The food was devine!! I started with the squid, followed by the fish served with a crayfish sauce - to die for, along with fennel croquettes - divine. My neighbour enjoyed a 12-day aged steak, with crispy potatoes which he raved about.
The presentation was excellent - especially the dessert. Both the pineapple and coconut sorbet and chocolate brulee looked spectacular. The service was great and the wine list excellent. The night was fantastic and everyone raved about the food - especially the men size portions!!

A bit noisy with large parties in a small space, but the tastes certainly made up for that. Especially recommend the ducks' livers - divine!
Great place for dinner - the service was impeccable, the food was top notch and the wine was served cold and frequently.
