Rude manager, dirty toilets, sticky floors,friendly bartenders. The one star is for the bartenders...there is really no other reason to go there. Seriously, it would be better for the ownership to change management and at least put a bit of money into buying some cleaning products for the toilets. At the very least, maybe that older American woman pretending to a bouncer should just stay in her office. She seems to turn more people away with her attitude than she attracts!
No.1 worst place to go in Auckland, the rude bag lady stands at front door is a terrible person. too dark inside also it's very dirty.
went over there once, couldn't get in, because one of my Indian friend (does have NZ drivers license). asked the doorman,doorman said ask the lady at front door. then we got told "we are giving her headache"! very funny nd obvious.
Not a good experence. Music too loud, angry doormen and some scary American lady at the door made me want to leave but still went in. Drinks were okay, liked that they were served by bar tenders that were nice and friendly. Music was okay, a little on the loud side. Would only go back for the cheap drinks or if I was very intoxicated.
Quite possibly one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a bar... Staunch and angry doorman combined with a frumpy American lady (possibly the owner) standing outside barking orders to everyone.. Downstairs the music was too loud and extremely techno like. Margarita's Mexican Cafe bar area is very, very dark and you tend to trip over the laid out bar leaners as you try to find your way to the bar and being distracted by the 8 or so tvs screening the same thing. Toilets smelt awful, and I was left considering why I was here, when I could have stayed at the Globe Bar around the corner.
