Lucky Buddha occupies a bright open space that offers tables for two, communal dining seats at the Chef’s counter and is a great venue for lunch or dinner and eating in or out.The combination of ingredients, is fresh, cultural and modern at the same time and cooked with love and passion for Asian fusion.I had the Pork Larb and lamb ribs last week. Perfectly fatty and meltingly tender lamb ribs had been slow-cooked in a marinade which had deliciously caramelised.Today I had a pork gua bao which was so soft and delectably tasty and fresh. Then I had the chicken soba noodles which were tasty and filling. Seriously my eyes were bigger than my belly as I over ordered.Lucky Buddha has a beer of the same name that I had which was great for a hot day.I have been here 3 times now and I LOVE it. Be there or be square!

Lucky Buddha, new to the expanding Fort St dining precinct, is an Asian Fusion (Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese) restaurant. Chef's and staff from top restaurants such as Vinnies and Merediths make this a great eatery.

Our group took up one of the long shared tables in the centre of the restaurant. The table were laid with beautiful ceramic bowls from Japan, while stools and big timber tables added to the atmosphere.

The service was excellent; our waitress quick, friendly and helpful. We asked for a dish that had 3 pieces to come as 4 as there were 4 of us sharing. Whilst you can share most of the dishes easily in order to try most of the menu, the duck is hard to split and best for one.

We tucked into the steam buns, white and fluffy, packed with slow-roasted pork shoulder, carrot slivers, peanuts and mint. I thought these were better than ones I had had at other restaurants.

We had the chicken, greens, Thai bangers too but the best dish I loved was the sticky lamb. It just fell off the bone and the sauce was delish!

Walk past Indochine which I didn't rate and give Lucky Buddha a whirl.
