Went here on a Sunday, you know what they say about dining at restaurants on a Sunday; not a good idea!! It certainly wasn't for this Sunday. I cant ever remember a time where all 4 plates of food were just shockingly bad. My son actually stopped eating his as it made him feel sick. Having eaten often at this chain as it usually produces good sized portions with reasonable food for the price we felt pretty safe. I don't know what went wrong this time, maybe the chef had a bad day, but even the waitress agreed it looked awful. The manager eventually agreed to half our bill, but only after a considerable effort on my part and after he had accused me of making stuff up. Not terribly customer focused and unbelievably condescending in his approach, clearly had decided I was trying to pull a swifty!! Will be dining somewhere a bit more discerning next time.
I took a crowd of 20 for dinner there and every one was impressed with the quality service and the food was exquisite and generous in portions for the cost. I recommend this place highly
Just went in for a dinner for two.The service and staff were amazing.food service was fast and the food was tasty and well done.I would like to go again to have dinner on some ocassions also.Superb in Service.
The meal I had last night was supurb. It was well cooked and the wait staff are in a class of their own. They are energetic, helpful and attentive.
I have been to Lone Star Waitakere 4 times now. Their chicken is to die for, it is always tender and moist, although I do not like Cajun style. Dixie and Johnny Cash Chicken is fantastic. Go and enjoy. Service is friendly.
Massive meals so bring an appetite to Lone Star Waitakere! The ribs are great - you feel like Fred Flinstone as you tuck into the huge portions! If you've got room or are just plain greedy, try the Kahlua and Moro cheesecake!
