Was surprised to find this wee gem in Milford. Excellent Iced Coffee as well as cute things to nibble on such as gingerbread men in the cabinet as well as an impressive array of cakes and slices. Busy joint with attentive staff and a fab looking brunch menu I will have to return to enjoy.

This was an unexpected surprise. I was recommended to go here by a friend who had previously recommended some not so great places to eat, so I was pretty dubious. However, I was pleasantly surprised, for such a small venue I was delighted with the range of both menu and counter options. & was even more surprised by the amazing presentations of everything, from getting bagels with shot glasses full of spreads or a simple iced chocolate in a mason jar. With eclectic design, awesome NZ artists on display, mismatched seats, and the option of single or shared tables, along with a play area for children and vibrant wait staff, I would definitely recommend a trip here. Especially for a Sunday morning brunch.

Had to try this place after reading all the reviews and it didn't disappoint - finally a decent coffee in Milford! Loved the $6.50 kids menu which had some nice treats, like pancakes served with little shot glasses of compote and syrup. Coffee was good, smoothies in a jar yummy and the service was friendly. Would probably make me venture to Milford more often!

There is a buzz on the North Shore as we have another wonderful cafe on the scene. So far we have Takapuna beach cafe, Como street cafe, Little and Friday and now we have Little King cafe in Milford.
I went because even fellow chefs told me to go and try it out.

I arrived at 130ish and the place was crammed, they followed the same format as L&F with the large table in the middle for shared dinning. The menu is interesting with an obvious Asian influence to match and extensive waffle menu and a quaint cake cabinet.

I ordered the open steak sandwich which was strips of steak cooked with mushrooms and soy sauce and served with roast potatoes. Along side this I had Tea Total EBT and a rhubarb crumble tart.

The sandwich was tasty and salty in a great way and the tart had a great fresh pastry and a flavourful filling.

The service was faultless as well.

What more can i say except I couldn't think of anything that was bad.

Great Food
great cakes
great drinks
Great service
Free WiFi
Great atmosphere

Has to be a five out of five.

Exceptional cafe in the middle of Milford! Today's visit was disguised as a business meeting but you can see why it's so easy to run over time when you're in pleasant surroundings like you are here.
Service is smart and friendly, coffee good (although could be slightly hotter) and the food lovely. The array of tarts (the raspberry and lemon ones look exceptional) but I was there early so enjoyed some sage friend eggs...delicious!
This is one of the perks of working from home...an additional excuse to get out and enjoy cafes like Little King.

The moment I went into Little King cafe, I fell in love. It had a great atmosphere and even better food. Unfortunately in my most recent visit I was disappointed. When the coffee came, it wasn't hot enough even though we had specifically said extra hot, but that isn't the main problem. The thing that made me most upset about this visit was when their barrister brought the coffee over, he spilt mine, not just a dribble, I would have been fine with that, but a huge amount. Everyone makes mistakes, but all he did was say 'oh' and walked off, without even saying sorry or offering to clean the mess up. That just made the whole visit horrible, I had to clean up the mess that he made and pay $4 for the coffee as well. Where was the service??

Wow - Milford just got a whole lot more exciting!

Lunch today at Little King Cafe was top-draw - from the attentive service and great supreme coffee to the fresh and airy space, I can't fault this Milford newcomer.

The menu is extensive but if you're in need of your five plus a day opt for a big hearty dish of roasted vegetables...it's so good on so many levels.

Milford has been screaming out for an eatery of this calibre and in Little King Cafe, they've got a cafe of the highest order.
