I've been here a bunch of times now and have never been disappointed. Fantastic coffee, beautiful food and friendly staff. If you have a sweet tooth like I do the pastries and other assorted treats are to die for! I recommend La Tropezienne to all my friends.

Sadly they are not child friendly. Although, as we approached from the street and had not researched them on the net on another website we did not know this in advance. Consequently, they were clearly annoyed at my friend and I with our baby each (who are pretty well behaved by any standard) - why they didn't just turn us away I really don't know. Having taken our money they then proceeded to show us how unwelcome we were, they voiced their opinion of our nuisance in relation to their 'regulars' - we have found another Brown's Bay cafe of which we can become 'regulars' now. The coffee was average, the hot chocolate was poor, the spinach and feta quiche was particularly forgettable, except for the fact it was heated up unevenly in the microwave - all in all a truly horrible experience - so if you are one of the majority and have children.....don't bother with this place.

La Tropezienne is a great cafe, the staff are always ready to help and suggest something to eat when you cant decide as there is so much to choose from. The coffee is always great, not bitter at all. Love the french music that they also play and you just feel so relaxed in this cafe!! This is what its all about!!
