La Porchetta for tea, I had Bolognese, tried not to splash it on my dress, didn't succeed, still, I loved this restaurant, one or Parnells bestest.
This is an excellent little Italian restaurant. It is always busy and has yummy food at a reasonable price. On average you would pay about $15 for a main, so very affordable. Food is mainly pizza's and pastas but does also offer other alternatives.
I had a very disappointing experience here. The service was fast, in an attempt to push us out the door I expect. Staff pestered us to order before we were ready, cheque was brought before we had finished our meal, lights were turned on and clean-up started before we had gotten up from our booth, at 9pm on a Friday night after we had booked for and arrived at 8. The food was disappointing (uneven toppings, toppings missing) and not worth the cheap prices in our opinion.
Let me start with the positives: very efficient service, meals started coming to us within 5 mins of ordering. Unfortunately that was the only positive, the food, horrible! The meat lovers pizza we ordered was extremely greasy, horrible pizza crust and had very little meat toppings. Lasagne again had very little mince filling, just layers of pastry drowned in tomato sauce. To add insult to injury, the OJ tasted like it had been watered down (or gone off!)... to summarise we will NOT be eating at La Porchetta again!
Fantastic value, great food. If you're going to do the pizza thing tonight, make it a La Porchetta. With your choice of pasta and sauce, we always get a selection and pinch from the other's plate. Service is variant, but mostly polite. And their 'La Porchetta liqueur coffee' is a must!
Really friendly and cheerful service, awesome pizza, hot waiters!!!! What more could a girl ask for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Food ok, service is very fast a good thing if your in a rush, wouldn't go for a special meal i.e birthdays or anything though.
