Back in Auckland after a year and so had to visit "La Porchetta" again !
But sadly the quality of the pizza went down... and Im not talking about the cesar salad.... service was really poor compare what I have seen and the price even small doesnt make it up.
Won't go there again.

Great food for low prices, that's what keeps me coming back for more. It's not the fanciest meals or pizzas, but it's good, filling food, is ready quickly and is very affordable. The service is a little lacking but not enough to put you off the place!

Good food, good prices, good service. Can't complain but as I said, good, not great!

Have visited La Porchetta at least twenty times over the last few years, so thought it was about time I spread the good word into cyber space! So here goes...

ATMOSPHERE: Modern family friendly surroundings, although rather non-descript.

FOOD: Tasty pizzas (their specialty) Pastas, Steaks, Salads etc. AND the best Gelato in Auckland.

DRINK: Licensed with a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits.

PRICES: c h e a p (a massive pizza will set you back from as little as $10).

SERVICE: Very fast and efficient. If you are in a hurry, 30 mins is all you need for a dinner.

GROUPS: Definately...but best to make a reservation. Any groups less than 6 don't need to book, as they have a quick turnover.

WARNINGS: Over busy times (6.30pm-8.00pm) you may be seated next to the very hot kitchen...not the BEST experience, but still worth it for the food.

This place is PERFECT for pre-show dinners, cheap birthday treats and JUST FOR THE SAKE OF IT! Denny's next door just can't compete!!!!! YUMBO!!!!

This Italian restaurant is well known to Aucklander. They have got one in Parnell also. La Porchetta has a nice and cheap price range of pizza, pasta and risotto.


I personally love the mushroom pizza with generous amounts of mozzarella cheese on top -- and mushroom risotto with lots of parmesan cheese. They do have nice chicken pizzas like chicken satay pizza etc. It also has lovely dessert like Gelato ice-cream ... it melts my heart hehe!

Good place to drop in for a quick bite. The service is nothing to write home about but the pizza / pasta menu does the job. Popular place for large groups at weekends.
