A lovely day out. Excellent service. Good food and amazing ice-cream. The kids loved the caravan set up for playing in and we loved the friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be going back.

I can't remember the last time I had a meal in New Lynn, but I will definitely be back now! The food at Kohu Road Cafe and Creamery is delicious and the space is really cool - factory-style with a high roof and plenty of space between all the tables. I had a chicken, mushroom and pesto open pie with sauce so yummy I scraped every last drop off the plate. My 5-year old was impressed with the kids' plate, although it was pretty hard to tear her away from the old-school caravan (complete with inside fairy lights and a tele) that is parked in one corner to occupy the children. The coffee was great if you like it strong (one of our group had half strength and enjoyed that too). As well as the a la carte menu there are some sweets and scones on the counter - will have to try them next time!
