YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM KK Malaysian Cuisine is one of my favourite restaurants...for the food....the service and atmosphere have to be ignored....Don't come here if you want a relaxing or romantic time....but if you want GREAT and authentic Malaysian food, then KK Malaysian Cuisine is the ultimate place...best Malaysian I have ever had and we are regulars.Reasonable pricing, and you get large meals. The Beef Rendang is highly recommended, as is the KK Special Eggplant...LOVE IT.Gets 4 stars for the food alone, go there!!!! (but make a booking, cos it's very hustle bustle)
Fantastic place. Food is always good. I wouldn't visit KK Malaysian Cuisine expecting good service, but it doesn't matter because the food is so good.
First time having dinner there last night, heard rave reviews and saw long lines. We got satay chicken to start, sambal chicken and beef rendang to share. We were extremely disappointed. Sambal chicken was so bony you couldn't eat it, and beef rendang was tough pieces of beef.
Didn't even bother packing it home.
On the plus side, the satay chicken was nice. The waitress was also super friendly.
Maybe we ordered wrong?
Can't say we would go back to try it again though. The Malaysian in Newmarket remains our favourite.
We just had dinner there, and this was our first time having dinner there.
Food is average. Just large portion, i think for normal person, 1 dish can feed 2 people.
Environment is horrible.
Staff is not friendly.
I guess this is our first and last to go there. Well if you prefer quantity, then that's the good place to go.
I am puzzled by the previous user who reckoned questions about the food were unwelcome. I am vegetarian and have allergy issues and asked LOTS of questions which the staff members were only too happy to answer, and I got very delicious food out of it, too. It's not a place you go to for silver service dining - rather it's good cheap food of excellent quality and huge amounts, and the place is hugely popular. It's always full when I go past. I was really impressed!
I love this place. It can be hard to get a table but the wait is worth it and the food is excellent. It's a great place to share some good Malay food and catch up with friends. Price is refreshingly affordable and BYO too. This is an informal dining experience so do not expect a 'fine china and silverware affair'
The food at KK restaurant is always excellent and very cheap. Unfortunately the service is always terrible and often actively rude. While I enjoy the food at KK, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone as I think service is an essential aspect of a dining experience.
Food was good but service was horrible! The waiter was rude and gave me the impression that we were there interrupting his work. As the menu doesn't offer a proper explanation of the dish I asked a few questions and was encouraged to stop.
Place was dirty.
I liked the food but I really appreciate a restaurant with the whole package. Food, good service and good environment.
Won't come back to KK for that reason.
