We had fantastic dinner at Kazuya Restaurant. The atmosphere is great, very modern and clean. The staff were all super friendly and attention to detail is just beyond belief!! They served Italian knives for special beef cooked in oven with low temperature for a long time which makes the special beef even more tender. Another delightful surprise was smoked salmon which was served with a glass cover. The waitress opened it on the table and the smoke rise up in front of you. And the salmon melted on the tongue. Sashimi plate and 30 kinds of vegetable plate are like art, beautiful to see and taste. Also the selection of wine is amazing. There was a Japanese sommelier who knows a lot about wine and recommended us perfect wines to each dish. Highly recommended to have special meal. Quite sure Kazuya will be recognised as one of the top restaurants in New Zealand very soon!!

had a really fantastic dining experience at Kazuya restaurant last week. With a few work colleagues, we tried the 7 course tasting menu - at $85 fairly consistently priced with other similar Auckland venues. The real standout for me was the wakanui blue beef - this stuff has to be tried to be believed.
Kazuya Restaurant also has a modern, contemporary feel to it however the staff are relaxed and less formal than I was expecting - which is a good thing!

really excited to see Kazuya Restaurant open for business. Auckland does good Japanese cuisine (Soto, Cocoro) and although new, I'd consider Kazuya right up there.
