Katsura Information

Located in the Rendezvous Hotel in Central Auckland, Katsura captures the very essence of Japan. Its refined, elegant décor provides an arrestingly simple environment for the superb, exotic food and detailed, professional service. The exciting and very visual techniques of Teppanyaki-style cooking are demonstrated with much flair by the chefs, while the startlingly fresh sushi and sashimi is the envy of Auckland.

Relaxed atmosphere in a hotel dining. Food is average and pricey but you receive a first class service by a Japanese floor manager.

Katsura is fabulous! We had a Teppanyaki table and our chef was so funny. The kids loved him. The food was fantastic.

I can't say enough about this restaurant! 5 stars without a doubt. I went there as got a daily deal voucher for it - had never heard of it before. It isn't cheap - but isnt overly expensive. The decor, service, feel and food was fantastic - one of the best meals I have had in a long time - we didn't choose the option to get our food cooked as our table as hadn't booked in so me and my partner choose to share a selection of entree sized meals instead of mains as they all sounded good - and they were all amazing. If you want a nice meal in the city, I definitely recommend this for a great dining experience.

Absoulutely 10 points!!! Katsura is expensive, but worth every dollar. The service and the food, in both presentation and quality, were top notch. Hadn't been for a while and was impressed by the fact that it has stayed consistent.
