Katsura Information

Located in the Rendezvous Hotel in Central Auckland, Katsura captures the very essence of Japan. Its refined, elegant d├ęcor provides an arrestingly simple environment for the superb, exotic food and detailed, professional service. The exciting and very visual techniques of Teppanyaki-style cooking are demonstrated with much flair by the chefs, while the startlingly fresh sushi and sashimi is the envy of Auckland.

Relaxed atmosphere in a hotel dining. Food is average and pricey but you receive a first class service by a Japanese floor manager.

Katsura is fabulous! We had a Teppanyaki table and our chef was so funny. The kids loved him. The food was fantastic.

I can't say enough about this restaurant! 5 stars without a doubt. I went there as got a daily deal voucher for it - had never heard of it before. It isn't cheap - but isnt overly expensive. The decor, service, feel and food was fantastic - one of the best meals I have had in a long time - we didn't choose the option to get our food cooked as our table as hadn't booked in so me and my partner choose to share a selection of entree sized meals instead of mains as they all sounded good - and they were all amazing. If you want a nice meal in the city, I definitely recommend this for a great dining experience.

Absoulutely 10 points!!! Katsura is expensive, but worth every dollar. The service and the food, in both presentation and quality, were top notch. Hadn't been for a while and was impressed by the fact that it has stayed consistent.
