A family run business, Joyful Chinese Restaurant serves up decent food in a very cosy premises. Revisited Joyful after not coming for a while.

I thought the place was a bit quiet on a Sunday evening, not sure if it was cause of the long weekend. But we were the only group upstairs, while there were some other patrons downstairs.

The food was pretty good, although not the most fantastic. As we were celebrating the Chinese New Year, we tried a number of traditional dishes that are usually served up during the festivities. They were prepared well and were tasty.

The place is quite small, and although they have big tables, it can be a bit of a squeeze in some spots.

Service was standard for a Chinese restaurant. The lady boss is quite a nice, chatty lady. At times, service was a bit slow as we were seated upstairs, away from the main crowd. They might consider installing a buzzer upstairs to call for service.

All in all, it was a good dining experience and we definitely left with our tummies busting out of our pants. I think the price was alright for the amount food we had.

This place has long been one of my favourite chinese restaurants to visit. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. I believe the owner himself is the head chef, so the standard of food has always been the same high standard. I would high recommend for anyone to go try!
