I really enjoyed my night at The Italian Job. Had the gnocchi in cheese sauce, with olive bread and a side salad. No issues with it at all - the lettuce was mescalin and iceberg... with cucumber and tomato and a little parsley. The olive bread was AMAZING!! Had an olive pesto on top. Definitely recommend it. My partner had the 3Pepper in wine sauce. Loved the texture, with the pepper corns. Will visit the Italian Job Restaurant again.
I have been to this restaurant twice and I definitely wouldn’t go again.
The first time I had calamari and it was like eating pure rubber. The second time, I had eye fillet steak with a red wine sauce. The sauce tasted completely off; for starters the red wine had turned to vinegar. Far from up to standard for a $27.50 meal. It also came with potatoes and grated carrot and boiled potatoes soaked in butter.... yay!
I also ordered a side salad which was $6.50. This consisted of the cheapest whole lettuce you could get in a supermarket diced but still connected together with a few slices of tomato and cucumber on top.
This place to me seems to cut corners way too much and over price for the poor standard of food. Not to mention the wine was extremely average as well. I definitely recommend that you stick to the basics e.g. pizza or soups if you go at all.
