A chic yet informal estalishment is what owners Joy & Justin Stedmances instigated when completely renovating this old eating house. With 30 years in the restaurant industry, Joy's previous ventures include the development of Ocean's Restaurant in Takapuna and Epsom, and more recently the set up and management of One Italy restaurant in Newmarket.

The busy open-plan kitchen gives the high-stooled bar patrons plenty of flamed entertainment while drinks are dispensed from the Beach Bar.

While the decor boasts shades of shiraz, the red-hot attraction is the food of Justin Stedmances. With a firm New Zealand influence, his innovative menus are created from his talent of combining the most unlikely flavours into one finely balanced and excellently executed dish.
