agree with your guys 'best burgers' feature - the sliders at Hard Luck Cafe are the business. Awesome vibe at Hard Luck Cafe too...and the wings are also well recommended...you're making me hungry!

Went to Hard Luck on Saturday to skope it out for a possible birthday celebration for me! Well sour front of house service - I wanted the coffee and muffin special only to be told in a terse manner "the muffins haven't been baked yet"! This was at 12.45pm and the opening time was listed as noon. However the coffee was good and I really would have loved to have tried a fresh baked muffin!

The atmosphere is cool, the deco is cool, the bean bags are amazing, Hard Luck Cafe is a great place for having drinks or the like.

However food-wise I can't say I was overly impressed. I quite liked their 'air dried meats', if only the portions were a bit bigger.

When our $16 'sliders' came out I was very, very disappointed. Paying $16 for two hamburgers from this type of venue, you would expect burgers similar to what you would get from your local fish and chip shop.

What I received was Hard Luck's rendition of Burger Kings $3 'BK shots'.

I would expect this price for this amount of food (barely one, basic, hamburger) from a restaurant a little more upmarket, where the food has more effort put in to it, but here you will find a mini version of your average sloppy take-away burger.

For a place with such a grunty image, you would expect the meal portions to all be bigger than they are. If Hard Luck Cafe can improve the food this would be a great place for after work dinner and drinks!

loved the service at this place, staff were awesome and friendly. eating at Hard Luck Cafe was an adventure! Very playful atmosphere, the food was good and the drinks cold. Maybe a little over priced but this is K rd after all.

cool atmosphere and great staff with the right attitude. The decor at Hard Luck Cafe won't be for everyone but the food is really fresh and well priced so no complaints from me.

really chilled cafe in the ironbank nest of venues. Hard Luck Cafe along with Mr Morning are now to very good reasons to visit K'RD!
